Synopsis

Neither Bread nor Love is home to a free style, Of extreme freedom in its writing which takes us on a literary-gastronomical journey that goes from the coast of Colima, strolls through the valley of Cali and the streets of Old Havana, it stops by Mixcoac and its market; a trip trough faces and sounds, flavors and textures: Lavín, Sefchovich, Cri-crí; Paradiso, Guillén, Jefferson Airplane; Popular Storytelling, the knowledge of the region in regards to its food and its transcendence in the lives of people.

How is Guillermina Cuevas able to transit from eggplants to Watermelon, apples, strawberries and the entire sea that enters the palate?

I celebrate that the author gifts us this this agile, playful, and profound writing. That our dearest Guille offers us new dishes in her literature, forever young, which establishes cultural connections with the world. The table is willing for this adventure and its about time we open our senses.
