The Importance of the Education of a Lawyer Facing the Challenges of Present-Day Reality

René Rodríguez Alcaraz was born in Mexico and taught Primary Level Education at the Escuela Normal de Ensenada, Baja California (Teacher Training School of Ensenada, Baja California). He has a BA in Law from the Instituto Cuauhtlatohuac of Tijuana, Baja California and has Specialization in Amparo Law and in Higher Education, both from the University of Colima.

Professionally, he has been a professor in Primary, Secondary and bachelor’s degree levels. He was also the director of the Faculty of Law from 2004 to 2009 and a full-time professor until his retirement from the Faculty of Law of the University of Colima. Furthermore, he has acted as a public servant as Chief of the Department of Disagreements, Records and Agreements of the IMSS (Mexican Institute for Social Security), as well as Head of Delegation of Legal Services, Occupational Safety, and Business Classification at IMSS Colima Delegation. He was Permanent Magistrate and Presiding Judge of the Election Tribunal of the State of Colima and Secretary General of State Government. He was also Presiding judge of the Administrative Litigation Court and at present, is Magistrate of the Supreme Court of Justice of the State of Colima.
