Sinopsis

Este libro surge como resultado de una investigación convocada por la Universidad de Colima para propuestas de profesores investigadores de tiempo completo en 2022 a través de la CGIC (Dirección General de Investigación Científica). La convocatoria fue dirigida a promover la investigación, el avance tecnológico, y la innovación que se dedica a abordar temas de interés nacional, la sostenibilidad estatal, y a mejorar las condiciones de la población de Colima. Este estudio busca evaluar el éxito de un curso de idiomas para mejorar la competencia en el inglés del estudiantado, evaluar el nivel de autonomía desarrollada por estudiantes del inglés como segunda lengua en un curso de cuarenta horas e investigar la importancia de los medios de aprendizaje autónomos.

Es profesor de la Licenciatura en Enseñanza de Lenguas Extranjeras de la Universidad de Colima. Sus áreas de interés son la investigación-acción, la enseñanza de lenguas y la formación de docentes. Ha escrito cerca de veinte manuscritos, artículos de investigación en prestigiadas revistas nacionales e internacionales, ha coordinado la publicación de libros y ha sido parte de comités editoriales. A inicios de 2022, fue designado como candidato para el Sistema Nacional de Investigadores.

Tiene un Doctorado en Educación de la Universidad ETAC de Aliat Universidades (2018-2020), una Maestría en Competitividad Turística (2007-2011) de la Facultad de Turismo de la Universidad de Colima y una Maestría en Gestión Y Políticas de la Educación Superior (2004-2006) del Centro Universitario de Ciencias Económico Administrativas de la Universidad de Guadalajara. Es Coordinador de Estudios de Postgrado en la Facultad de Turismo de la Universidad de Colima y creador de Metadística, un canal de Youtube dedicado a la divulgación de estadística y metodología de investigación. Actualmente trabaja en el campo de la investigación educativa, educación turística y estadística aplicada en las ciencias sociales.

es Ingeniera en Telemática Y tiene una Maestría en Tecnología de la Información de la Universidad de Colima. En 2022 concluyó un Doctorado en Investigación con Enfoque Educativo del Instituto de Estudios Superiores “Federico Rangel Fuentes” con la publicación como autor y coautor de dos capítulos de libro, un artículo, y una participación individual dentro de un consorcio para graduados. Ha trabajado en proyectos respaldados por la convocatoria de la Universidad de Colima para fortalecer la investigación y actualmente trabaja en su investigación de tesis la cual se enfoca en las habilidades interpersonales para el aprendizaje colaborativo, tanto en ambientes virtuales como presenciales. Teniendo 21 años de experiencia, trabajó en el Instituto Superior de Educación Normal del Estado de Colima (ISENCO) en el Centro de Estudios de Bachillerato y la Licenciatura en Matemáticas, así como en la Facultad de Telemática y en las Preparatorias 1,2,3,4 y 33 de la Universidad de Colima en donde actualmente trabaja como profesora investigadora de tiempo completo y profesora del programa bilingüe.

La portada muestra un salón de clases vacío, iluminado por la luz natural que entra por las ventanas de la izquierda. Es un aula tradicional, con escritorios de madera y metal organizados en filas ordenadas. En el fondo, destaca un pizarrón blanco al centro y, alrededor de él, hay varios cuadros de texto en pizarras negras, hojas pegadas y decoraciones escolares. El ambiente está bien iluminado, limpio y sereno, evocando un entorno de estudio disciplinado y acogedor.  El techo es de loseta blanca, con lámparas rectangulares modernas. Al fondo, un escritorio del profesor con cajonera aparece junto al pizarrón, ligeramente inclinado. No hay personas visibles en la imagen, lo que refuerza la idea de que el enfoque está en el espacio de aprendizaje como símbolo de autonomía educativa.  El título principal está en letras grandes y blancas al centro superior de la imagen. Justo debajo, en letra un poco más pequeña, está el subtítulo. El nombre del coordinador aparece en la parte inferior media, y en la base está el logotipo de la Universidad de Colima.
